Nawton and Beadlam Community Website

History past and present for the twin villages of Nawton and Beadlam

Local Info

The village of Nawton in Ryedale, North Yorkshire and Beadlam in Ryedale, North Yorkshire are twin villages that sit beside the main A170.  The website's main purpose is to focus on the history of both villages past and present.

Nawton and Beadlam are situated in between the two market towns of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside. Although the twin villages are very different in character, they share several amenities and local places of interest.

It is hoped that the new website will be of interest to everyone in the community, as well as to ex-residents, visitors and those interested in genealogy.

Photographs of Nawton and Beadlam

Photographs of Nawton and Beadlam can be seen in Village Scenes   You may find them very interesting, at least from a history point of view. Not because they're old, but because the village seems to have changed quite a bit even over recent years!  I wonder how many changes you can spot?

The information on copyright for the photographs can be found underneath each one.
